Project Ranchero
This is our 1972 project Ranchero 500. It has quite a few modifications that help clean up its looks, improve it's appearance, and make it a fun car to drive. It has a hood from a '72 Ranchero GT. The paint is Deltron base coat/clear coat, Viper Red and Bright Silver. We didn't like the way the factory grill looked so we made a new one from expanded steel, painted it flat black, and added a GT emblem from a 68 Mustang.

The only chrome that was left on the car was the front and rear bumpers. Even the reverse light lenses were carefully painted over so they didn't stand out on the back. This makes everything from behind the car red except the rear bumper.

"351 Ram Air" Stickers for a Mustang were placed on the sides of the hood scoop, while "BOSS 351" stickers for a '71 Mustang were modified and placed on the fenders. The wheels are Centerline Billet Fluted Stars.

The engine is a 1970 351C 4 Barrel (300HP). It's mostly stock except for a 650 Holley double pumper carburetor and a set of Hooker Competition Headers. The ignition system was also upgraded from points to Duraspark. A 4 speed top loader and a 9-inch posi rear axle with 3.73 gears back it.
