Ferrari, its near neighbor in Modena, Italy. Little of worth has been

from the 1950s to the 1980s. The Biturbo that followed saw a
downturn in Maserati's fortunes, but a modern revival is well and truly

Maserati Cars Performance Portfolio
New owners Citroen company influenced the Maserati
models with a new engine being developed for the Citroen SM.
However, by 1975 the plan was to put Maserati into liquidation.
Fortunately rescue came in the form of Alesandro de Tomaso
who put the company back on its feet. The 1970s models built
on the success of the Indy in the late 1960s. The Bora,
Kyalami and later Quattroporte were V8-powered while the V6
was put to good use in the Merak. The Bora had the
distinction of being the company's first road-going,
mid-engined car. This is a book of contemporary road and
comparison tests, new model introductions, technical and
